THE LIGHT TRUST
JUSTICE THROUGH EQUALITY.
The Light Trust is a 100%, truly Broad Based Black owned trust, with the principal objective to uplift and be a voice for the poor, marginalized and oppressed. This is achieved by providing financial support and strategic and operational assistance to Christian based organisations which focus on one or more of the following: education, unemployment, humanitarian work, healthcare and justice.
ADDRESSING INEQUALITY THROUGH A SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT MODEL
The Light Trusts seeks to create a storehouse of wealth and resources for the long term sustainability of its beneficiaries. This is achieved by building capital through acquiring equity stakes in various businesses. Such investment opportunities are sourced, reviewed, funded and structured by our fund managers, Gap Capital, who are experts in the field of private equity investment.
YOUR TRUE B-BBEE PARTNER
B-BBEE has a significant role to play in business in South Africa. Gap Capital structures investments in such a way that The Light Trust takes up an appropriate equity stake. This enables our investee companies and investors to maximise the benefits of the B-BBEE codes, as well as generate returns for its beneficiaries.
